Second raid port doesn't seem to be detecting in winxp pro or somethign
Just upgraded to winxp pro from win2k pro.
all works except - my cd rom and writer aren't being detected. I've got a kt7-raid. in device manager - there is a raid controlller installed but in my computer - my cd-roms aren't being detected?
they worked fine in win2k. i upgraded like 20 minutes ago - and now they're not there. they're being detected in bios and work fine in windows 98.
kt7a-r uses hpt370 raid drivers. i've tried adding ANOTHER raid contrller identicle to the first - but no go
pleeeeeease help need to get this fixed asap thx!
the cd rom / writer are connected to the second raid. and hd to the 1st. but apparently - raid doesn't like cd-roms (despite the fact they worked perfectly in win2k), is this true?? someone suggested if i move thsi to the mobo onboard, they will work - will this not decrease their speed?
