Security Headache - Win2K on NT network
I am trying to migrate my users to the Win2k operating system. Everything is going great with one exception:
The users without domain admin (Windows NT security) try to open a .JPG, .PCX or other graphics file an error pops up saying that the extension can't be found in the registry.
The icon shows that it is associated with picture viewer which is fine for their needs. When I open teh file from Pic Viewer the program errors with invalid image type.
I found a fix where you go into regedt32, find the file type and add everyone to the permissions to that file. I have multiple users with multiple file formats and I hate to edit the registry. What can I do to aleviate this headache??
