Sending FQDN in HELO syntax w2k w98

I can find a help guide @ MS knowledge base, but is only for 98.
I need to be able to send a fully qualified domain name in the HELO line when sending mail.
This requires a registry entry using regedit. Can anyone help me with a w2k solution.
Thanks
