Question Startup & Services Options Depending on User Account Login

Wouldn’t it be nice to have one User Account in Windows XP (or even 2K) that has all of your regular settings? You know, anti-virus, firewall, messengers, etc… and another one for gaming with absolutely “nothing” running in the background, no services, no startup items, etc… except maybe video enhancing utilities… and maybe even yet another for video or graphic rendering work with nothing running except maybe burning engines, etc. Well you get the idea.

I have looked everywhere on how to do this. I already know how to set up services to run with unique hardware profiles, end how to edit the registry so that different users have different startup items. These are even more advanced settings than using msconfig or the services manager, HOWEVER… there must be a simpler way to do this, possibly even a utility that makes it easy with a sweet UI, but most importantly, time efficient.

I use these startup options for lots of PC’s (and no it is not an option to use different PC’s for different functions) and I also know many gamers that would benefit from this. Also, not everyone has the time to manually set every individual tweak the old fashioned slooow way until everything is just right. There has got to be something that does short hand what I can already do long hand, right?

If anyone has any suggestion, links to articles, or software/utility recommendations, please let me know. In the mean time, if anyone wants more info on the slow long hand manual tweaks I mentioned earlier, let me know and I will post a small tutorial.
