Transfer of Files.....

Hi ppl,

Really need help here....this is the problem...

I have now a new hard drv with windoes XP Pro on it and a slave which used to be my primary and has some files on it that i really need...now this slave has some errors on it thus i cant install windows on it and wont repair so i bought a new drive.

Now when i try n transfer files from my now slave drive to my new one (i.e the pics and files form work) they will not trasfer and says 'access denied' anyone has any suggestions round this??

Would be greatly appreciated.

Check security permissions on the drive. Make sure that "simple file sharing" is turned off in tools, options, view. Then right click on the drive, properties, security. Check to make sure you have full control. If full control is checked, the next thing you want to check is owner. From the security dialog, click on advanced, owner. Take ownership of the drive.
