Unique log on problem

Hi all,

I have a unique log on problem in Win2K.
After I type in my user ID and password(definitely correct), it shows the message "Loading personal settings".
Almost immediately the message change to "Saving settings" and the ctrl, alt, del log on window appears. I have no clue how to solve this problem.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Are you eventually able to log using this user? Is this machine part of a domain?

I know about the auto login settings, but is there auto logoff as well?
Do you have any startup scripts/policy stuff etc that runs automatically?
Does the same apply when in safe mode?

I also have same logon problem

I have the same problem I can log in using any user that is a member of the Administrators group but if I remove that user from the administrators group they can no longer login. The login process starts fine then it immediatley goes to saving settings and back to the login form. No error message. I have tried 10 times and each time it does the same. Gone through everything in the security policy and not found anything unusual. I have service pack 4 installed with all the latest updates.
Help!
