Does anyone know how "unknow accounts" are
created in user profile, why there their, and if it is a security problem? Thanks, -SM |

The only time I've ever seen that is transferring an NTFS drive from one machine to another. It keeps the same security settings so users that don't exist on the new computer are referred to as "unknown user".
It isn't a security issue, but I believe if you run chkdsk it may get upset and remove those "unknown user"s Alun |
