updating cpu on WinXP

I've just updated my cpu and now Windows is telling me there's a problem with my product activation and i have to activate again. Problem is that i can't actually log into windows anymore and i can't re-activate windows. This is seriously f'd up.

Can anyone out there help me? i don't want to re-install windows cos that would mean losing everything, right?

so, what should i do?

It's not a problem to reactivate windows, just click on the link and that's usually it.

If you are having trouble booting or running the os after the upgrade, just do a repair installation. Back-up critical data first just to be safe.

How to Perform a Windows XP Repair Install:

good luck
