using remote desktop with one monitor
Hi,
This is my situation is short: I have 2 computers ((A)webserver and (B)normal pc) both using windows xp). I only have one monitor to operate both of them, which is connected to pc B. Using the remote desktop option, I can control pc A from my pc B. However if I turn them both off, an want to restart them the next day, PC A wont start up if there isnt a monitor connected to it, so I need to fiddle around switching cables ec. Is it possible to start windows xp without it detecting if there is a monitor connected? cheers Patrick |

This has to be setup in your BIOS. There is an option somewhere "Halt on ... All Errors / Keyboard only / None". Although it probably doesn´t mention "monitor" or "graphics", with "none" it should boot up always.

I couldnt find this feature in my bios settings, although indeed I have seen it on some othere systems.
Are there perhaps some other bios-descriptions for this? kind regards Patrick |
