Vpn

have a VPN that works great when I do not use default gateway on remote network button. How do I set up the routes (if it is Routes I need) so the vpn clients can access the internet or anything else on my network using hostnames not ip's when the default gateway is the remote gateway..

I thought when I VPN into a network it is like actually physically being on that network with your computer so thus I should be able to ping and connect to shared files on the network but I cant?Can anyone help me with this problem? I want to be able see all the computers on the network, ping them, and access shares, and get to the internet.
