    VPN stopped working

Hi everyone. My VPN connection to my office was working totally fine, then a couple days ago stopped working. When I try to connect it hangs on "verifying user name and password" and eventually times out with Error 619.

We use a d-link dir-130 setup for pptp, i'm using windows 7 pro

A couple details, other people in the same city using macs have been able to connect still. I'm also really really really far from the office right now, but it hasn't been a problem until now.

    Ideas?

Also, I can still connect to the router via http, to the config menu.

Have you checked your Firewall settings? Its possible that it's blocking access to the ports required by the VPN? Also, try deleting the client config settings and then re-creating.

Out of curiosity, is anyone else having these problems using Windows ?

Through random tinkerings I managed to get it working... Things I tried were...

-Re-creating the VPN connection on the router
-re-creating the vpn connection in windows
-resetting vpn passwords and users on the router
    -rebooting router (many times)

Can't think of anything logical as to what would of caused it or fixed it, but its more or less working.

Re-creating the VPN connection probably did the trick - at least it working, thats the main thing!
