W2K Server: Connecting network drives without logging on

Our web analysis server grabs logs from other servers with conencted network drives.

However, we don't want to leave the web analysis server logged on, and it may get rebooted, etc.,

Is there a way (how) to reconnect network drives as services that are independent of any user loggin on?

We do something similar, we just wrote it as a service. When you set up the service you can set who it runs as. If you set it to start automatically it will also take care of your reboot issue.

Please define what you mean by "it" - what did you write as a service? The automatically reconnecting of network drives? How is that done exactly please?

Sorry, Fingers got ahead of the brain.

I meant 'IT' as the software we wrote. It sounds similar although we don't reconnect the network drives we just use the administrative 'hidden' drives. ie machine_name\d$.

However it seems to me you could test for the existence of the mapped drive and connect using a windows API or worst case connect using a 'net use' command in a batch file.
