web pages popping up when off line
I have Windows 2000. Recently "upgraded" to AOL 9.0. Have had nothing but problems since! The one bugging me now is that even when I am off line, I get pop up web pages that, if I allow them to continue, will lock up my computer. When I go to the task bar, I can end the process by clicking on "IEXPLORE.EXE".
I have also gotten the dreaded blue screen several times. Before AOL 9.0, no such problems. Any help? ![]() |

Download and run:
Spybot search and destroy (do a search at download.com for it) **Be sure to immunize IE with Spybot after running it once. |

I have downloaded the Spybot. Thank you! It found a lot of "junk". My AOL seems to be finding web pages faster now also!
Again, thank you! |

Also give Adaware a try. It may find spyware that spybot didn't pickup.
