What is BAD_POOL_CALLER?

2003-10-25 Saturday
Computer Manufacturer : Toshiba
Computer Model : Satellite 2595XDVD
Operating System : MS Windows XP Professional
CPU : Intel Celeron
Hard Drive Size : 6190 MB Partitioned into C: (3 GB) and D: (3 GB) with 1.2 MB free on C: and 1.5 MB free on D:
: C: Volume TS-System created 02/09/02 with 3,068,380 KB Total and 1,257,004 KB Free
Amount of RAM : 256 MB
Problem Details : The Windows XP will not load on this notebook computer.
What was I doing? : Taking the computer from storage and using it at the beginning of fall semester.
Any new software or hardware : None

Any troubleshooting done : 1) Using the F8 key and the last Known Good Configuration・selection this is the result:
Blue Screen with STOP: c0000221 Unknown Hard Error
\SystemRoot\System32\ntdll.dll・

: 2) Using the F8 key and Safe Mode
Loading drivers then: a problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
(Blue Screen) BAD_POOL_CALLER

Technical Information:
*** STOP: 0x000000C2 (0x00000007, 0x00000CD4, 0x00060206, 0xE16053C8)

:3) Using the Windows XP CD ROM to run the Recovery Console
Running CHKDSK checked the hard disk and returned ok report.
Running FIXBOOT reported that bootsector is corrupt using NTFS and writing a new boot section ・successfully written.
Reboot results in same results as # 2 above with the following Technical Information:

Selecting safe mode an attempt was made to write to read-only memory.

*** ntfs.sys ・address FAA2B94C base at FA9F0000, DateStamp 3B7DC5D0

FIXMBR (Not done since all drives can be accessed in command prompt mode.)
