printing?
spoolsv.exe is a system file dealing with your printer(s). If this is happening while you're printing, you might be fine if you just reinstall the printer and its drivers.
If this is happening while you're NOT printing, you might be really in trouble, I don't know.
Either way, if you haven't reinstalled windows in a while, it might be time. This sort of behavior becomes common after installing applications, since windows "rebuilds driver information database" all the time. Also, reinstalling windows (any version) over itself is not nearly as good as formatting the drive and starting over. This is why I always recommend having drives partitioned and not installing anything on your c:\ drive, so when you go to wipe things away, you don't lose your favorite games or your letter to Grandma.
It also seems to be common after browsing the "wrong" websites. Since Microsoft creates so many loopholes in its operating systems for applications to make changes upon changes without your knowledge, everything from Gator (now known as Claria) to Weatherbug to porn sites can make changes to your registry, your preferences, and tons of other things.
Hope this has helped.
Also, next time you might want to post with a little more descriptive subject than "win 2k problem."
;)
