win 2000 prof loading
my wind 2k prof os takes some time when logging in to my user, any ideas why?

Win2K is known to be rather slow, it also depends on memory and hardware specs. When you install Win2k you should know taht it will load slow.

what all programs and drivers do you have auto starting, you may want to download the msconfig, or startup cpl utilities to be able to check and disable some of that stuff.

rufius, my friend's win2k prof starts faster than mine... we have the same pc specs and hardware... that brought me to post this up hehehe

thats the link for startup cpl, it is free, and once you install it go to your control panel and look for the startup icon |
