Win XP Setup
I finished the DOS portion of the Win XP setup and I was rebooting for the second part and it gave me a blue screen which told me to reboot if it was my first time seeing it. It was indeed my first time seeing it and I rebooted. I saw it agaiinnn!!!! This cannot be good! My computer is currently doing a scan with Scandisk.. Ohhh man, if scandisk can'y fix it then am i screwed or what?!?!

I dont know the exact message but it says it didnt open windows so that hardware wouldnt be destroyed and then it tells me to reboot or run scandisk.

u mean the blue "panic!" screen?... hehe
that used to happen a lot to the P2 i used 3 yrs ago, turned out to be an overheated cpu... anyway, that was before,... now i encounter the blue screen you mentioned whenever i try to restore a restore point in xp. what i'll do is press F8 then start xp in safe mode, then undo the last restoration... i think its just a screwed up set of commands/configuration. in your case, i'd just as well start from scratch and reformat |
