Windows 2000 doesn't load certain sites :\

Hello.
I have my home network controlled by a freebsd maching running natd on an adsl line using pppoe.

I had windows Me on this machine previously--and all was well after a minor MTU edit. However, when I installed windows 2000, some sites aren't loading... among the sites are:

iomega.com
panasonic.com
lacma.org

does anyone have any ideas?

thanks,

Kishan

Hello,

AFAIK there is nothing in Win2k that would prevent these sites from loading specifically.

Check if you installed any ad-blocking software or firewall product that might be causing the trouble.

Strange thing is I had a similar problem with Win2000. It diodn't load any internet pages or anything. It connected fine and then nothing, no server being resolved. I went into the services and stopped the DNS thingy. I can't remember at the moment what it's called and am not at home. Anyway it then loaded a lot of pages but still won't load some until I've pressed refresh about 10 times!! Added to all this, if I download a program it stops any browser windows getting content. Any ideas would be welcome!
