Question Windows 2000 SP4?

Some of the PC's in my small office network are running on Windows
2000. We're getting broadband in the next week or two, so I'm
wondering if it's worth downloading SP4. Does it require to be
"activated" like Win XP? I ask because I've no idea which serial
key was used on each of the Win 2000 PC's.

Cheers.
