Windows 7 on dell 2850

Windows 7 on dell 2850
i have dual core dual xeon 2850 not doing anything, i have a copy of windows 7. i googled around and didnt find much, i know that windows 7 will not detect the raid on the machine. has anyone tried or thought of doing this before? can i use windows server 2008 drivers? what about 64bit? again i googled around and found little with 7 and a 2850 so any help would be great.

You can try loading the OS. If it doesn't see the raid partition during installation, see if you can "force" it to use the Server 2008 drivers. Server '08 and Vista/7 are somewhat similar in nature so it may work. What model of Dell is it exactly (i.e., Optiplex 2800, Inspiron 2800, etc...)?

lol nooo its a poweredge 2850 2x dual core 16gb of ram 6x300gb drives, one of my retired servers

According to Dell it only supports the following Operating Systems:
