windows XP

can I use a windows XP machine as a router. If yes, pls let me know how to do it..

yes, if you add for example another network card, install it use a crossover cable to another computer with a network card, and keep adding as long as you have open pci slots, usb ports to do so with, would save alot of trouble and money to just buy a router though. unless you are just hooking two machines together, then just buy a crossover cable and have a lan card in each.

thanks a lot ....
But I want further details. Like will it support DNS, DHCP, NAT ?? if yes how to enable them (the configuration part )?? please help me.

i dont know how many machines you are setting up, and several other things that would really take all night to explain, i will give you a link, have to look around a bit, but they explain every possible network setup with about every kind of hardware setup.

Hi KC,
Thanks for the reply. My problem is I want to bring basic routing functionality ( DNS,DHCP,NAT and static routing ) to XP environment. Can you please help me in this regard..
