Has anyone ever had this problem?
i have two IDE CD-Drives and one IDE hard drive, but when i am running windows they register as SCSI, and it is preventing me from creating burned cds. how do i change the drives to register as ide in windows xp professional? |

All I can think of , is the IDE is set to none in the Bios .
http://www.pcmech.com/show/bios/23/ Also , make sure you are using the correct cables . Mine use one's with a blue end . |

jmatt is correct, the cables make a big difference, also jumper settings. if your bios are showing incorrect devices, check the cables, and jumpers, then for a bios update, this could be a known issue and a patch availible. if the bios show the devices correctly, but windows does not, go to the device manager, right click the devices, remove them, reboot, see if the reinstall finds them correctly.
