Windows XP file search ignores files

When I do a file search on my computer with Windows, it ignores, among other things, files with a ".cgi" extension.
I recall at one point downloading freeware which quickly and easily took care of this. Anyone know of it?

Note: in another forum, it was suggested that adjusting the Folder options would take care of the problem. This is incorrect.

Can you browse to the .cgi file using windows explorer? If not, are you logged on as an administrator user? Perhaps there is a permissions issue.
