windows xp freezes at shut down
I have windows xp professional installed in the beginning it was working fine but when I installed the pc component drivers a problem exist on the shut down or restart.
The pc freezes the at the screen windows is shutting down where I have to turn it off manually.
The processor is AMD Athlon xp 2100+ , ram 256 ddr , displaying card is geforce mmx 4, M/B AK 77 / 333.
anyone could help to solve this problem please

Install the newest drivers for all your hardware and all service packs and patches for XP. This should solve the problem.

the other guy is right, it is probably a nivida driver, or a us robotics modem, they are both known causes for this problem, but if you get the latest drivers, and service packs, you should be ok, pny(nvidia) video drivers were a real pain till they patched it
