Windows XP Pro crashed upon installation !!!!
I have AMD Athlon XP 1800 + with 1.150GHZ processor, 256 MB DDR 266MHZ RAM. I have bought 512 MB DDR 333MHZ. My motherbard only support up to 266HMZ of each RAM module and 1GB of DDR RAM. After I added the 512 MB, when I tried to booted to XP, its got frozed at the logo screen. However, I was able get into Safe Mode, and Command Prompt ok... but I formatted my HD to re-install XP. Unfornately, everytime I try to install, its froze at Installing Devices process. I've tried to removed unneccessary hardwarez such as CD-ROM Drive ( slave), Modem, Sound Card..etc. Its still got froze at that process "Installing Devices". Its froze around 65% completed.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thankx
P.S. Windows XP Pro is what I've tried to installed.
