WinXP Task Manager

Hello,

Until recently I had no problems with my WIN XP problems.
I recently installed Norton Antivirus 2003. Now, when I try opening TaskManager it automatically minimises, and I cant open it, coz it closes.

Did anyone face this problem before? Do you have any ideas how I can solve this? I even have uninstalled NA 2003.

Thanks

Sundar

Search thru other WinXP posts here on Devshed - there is a virus or worm going around that affects Task Manager. I had the exact same problem.

Look for a file called 'msagent32.exe' in WINNT\system32\ - thats the virus.

If Norton doesn't pick up on it (mine didn't) try the free online service at mcafee's website...
