Hi everyone.
Im haveing a problem with XP with an NTFS partition. i deleted the windows xp directory and installed XP again leaving all previous files on hdd now i can get into all of my files except for my old profile it says access denied i have tried adding myself as a user with permission to change security settings on the folder but it wont let me have access to the directory i have tried with the administrator account and i remade an account with the same user name hoping that it would let me access the directory didnt work if anyone can help me i would really appreciate it please. ![]() If anyone can help please Lost and Confused Rob. Same problem
I had the exact same problem. You would think with Admin rights to your own computer you should be permitted to access everything. Does anyone have any ideas?

To be honest I did not look very hard, I had a look around though and found how to fix the problem...
