Can anyone tell me what is meant by striped, basically ive got a friend who wants 3 hard drives 1 with the o/s (XP PRO) and 2 others (data, striped)
Any help or suggestions is much appreciated, ive had a look on microsoft.com but found nothing.

Data striping is where on OS writes data over more than one physical hard drive, but treats it as one logical hard drive.

RAID 0 and RAID 5 are two examples of data striping (RAID - Redundant Array of Inexpensive Devices).

Ouch. Avoid RAID 0 with modern IDE drives. Too many problems can kill all of your data.
