What do you mean by footprint? Memory? CPU? Storage? All? And why do you want to know so much about obsolete programs?

I am talking about hard disk space.

I am doing a OS paper at university and the question has been asked. Rather than reinstalling each OS to find this out, I thought I might be able to get some help on this forum.

I'll let you use Google for DOS, but here's 3.1:

Yeah, I highly doubt anyone here would know that without googling it, which you can do just the same as us.

This might help you with DOS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MS-DOS
If you need more info I can probably dig out my copies of dos 3.3 and 6.22 and manuals.
