    Windows 7 command line problem


    Windows 7 Command Line Problem?
    My windows 7 command line doesn't give me a full list of my query. For instance if i do netstat -n -a
    It doesn't give me a full list it just cuts it in half. example. HERE
    I'm supposed to be able to scroll to see what preceeds
    3 seconds ago - 4 days left to answer.

    Pipe your results through the "more" tool or redirect it to a file and use an editor to access the data. The buffer for the command line interpreter window is limited, therefor the mentioned behavior might occur.

    You can adjust the scrollback buffer size (though, it's still limited) by changing the properties of the prompt window.

    Right-click title bar -> properties
    Layout tab -> Screen Buffer Size -> Height

    That will let you scroll back further. Piping to more is easier if you just want to page something to inspect it a page at a time.
