    The batfile does not do it

    hello

    I have a piece of software installed which is very well started either from its icon or by triggering it from the .exe into its folder in the C disk.

    But, when I try to start it with a batfile, with what is in its iconís properties:
    Code:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Handicap International\ClavicomNG\ClavicomNG.exe"
    the usual command box opens up and the software is never started.

    I want to mention that I start routinely other softwares from batfiles with absolutely no problem.

    Thank you in advance for your help.

    You may need to switch to the ClavicomNG directory first.
    Code:
    @cd /d "C:\Program Files (x86)\Handicap International\ClavicomNG"
    @ClavicomNG.exe

    Thank you Requinix for your answer.

    I did just that and its works fine, this is great, I have been trying and testing for a while on this.

    Let me ask you if you know why the solution has to be this way for this particular software when I start others with a straight "c:\ ...".

    Thank you again for your help.

    The application is set up to use relative path names and bases these from the directory you are in when you execute the binary.

    %path%
    This variable contains a semicolon-delimited (do not put spaces in between) list of directories in which the command interpreter will search for an executable file that matches the given command. Your executable must be placed in the windows default path, or you must add the path to your exe. under Environment variables Path in order for windows to exucute it without being in its located directory.

    Google search for the Path environment variable for your version of windows
