An XSL based forum
Hello
I've done a quick search of the theads and there dosn't apear to a similar topic..... As part of my college course I'm creating a *simple* html messageboard/forum system using XML/XSLT as the back end. I've a few ideas for theminimum requiremetns but i'd like to know what other regular 'board' users think are the killer/minimum required featurs of such a system. What i've comeup with so far (yes i realise these are the really obvious/basic reqirements :Functionality ---------------- -Administrator can create “Forums” -Users can create “Threads”, and make “Posts” -Threads -Title, Thread Starter (User), Collection of Posts, Date/Time -Posts -Title, Poster (User), Body, Date/Time -Users -LoginName, Location, DisplayName, ??User Level (Normal / Mod /Admin)?? Interface ------------- -simple – quick and easy to understand -no fancy graphics/flash etc -Customisable board “identity” -logos and the like thanks for your help dan |
