converting text file to xml (newbie)
I am new to xml and want to have an idea of how to convert a text file to xml. A small example or tutorial will be fine or even links to sites will do. I would also like to know if it is possible to convert a text file into xml using PHP.

I did it with Perl
I have to admit that I don't (yet) understand XML, but I needed to use it, so the easiest way for me was to grab a Perl module and do it that way. The module can be grabbed from CPAN and look for XML::RSS
It might be worth downloading anyway, as the perldoc XML::RSS contains a mini tutorial that is very helpful.
