help me, im a noob

Hello there,

im just fiddling around with some xml, im using the domxml extension with php and i keep getting the following error.

Warning: domxml_open_mem(): xmlParseEntityRef: no name in /usr/local/lib/php/pdp/dto/DTO_Transcript.class.php on line 83

I ran my xml through a parser and its pointing to the & symbol within the tag below

		<module_code>COM347J1A</module_code>
		<module_title  xml:space='preserve'>Networks & data communications</module_title>
</module>

please help is there an easy way to fix this any help woud be much appreciated
