I have been hearing a lot of this xml stuff lately and ppl saying that its the future of the net lang.
I have seen a few of its codes....and they really look kewl. But how does this damn xml code run/work.
is it like html that u write the code on some editor and save it with extension .xml and run it. Well i am not sure, and neither am i commenting. I would like to know about it.

Hi Duke,

It is like HTML in that the code does not "execute". The code gets parsed and the document is rendered. With HTML, it is (usually) the browser that parses the code. The browser "knows" HTML, so it knows how to render the document.

With XML, you also need a program that can parse the XML code and render the document. There are several free parsers out there. Check out http://xml.apache.org/ , http://www.xml.com , and http://www.xmlhack.com/
