Markup? Integration help? Newbie..

Hi!

Just started working on a new intergration getween two diffrent kinds of programs.

Programs included 1: Simulation 2: Designing, drawing (a little like CAD)


My question is about what diffrent ways one can export data from one program and the import to another. The two programs have nothing to do with each other today. The designing program is meant to simulate the designs when i am finnished...

The exported data are diffrent objects, that have coordinates, attributes and so on...

Any1 got any idéas about this? anything that is easier than the other? pro's and so forth? any help will be appriciated.

I am a newbie so any help will be appriciated, in which end should i start?
