selectSingleNode - newbie question.

Hi,

I am trying to obtain an element out of my XML file by passed strLoc as a variable containing a URL in the XML.

I have tried the following code with several syntax rearrangements and yet no luck.

XMLdata.selectSingleNode("/TOPIC[@URL=strLoc]");

My XML structure is,

<TOPICS>
<TOPICS>
<TOPIC>
<URL>
</TOPIC>
</TOPICS>
</TOPICS>

Any help please...thanks.
