what is alphabetical sort?
I'm the person who was having trouble sorting the dates. After figuring that out, now my professor tells me the simplest alphabetical sort does the trick but he won't go into detail.
So if date is defined in my dtd as #PCDATA, meaning that it is unrestricted text, how would alphabetical sort be able to sort? I had to go through all the trouble of using substrings and things like that and now there's a much easier way? Sorry, I'm just really frustrated. I spent 3 hours figuring out how to sort by year, month, then day according to the following format: DD-MM-YY And now that I've finally got it, my prof tells me there's an easier way to do it. Please shed some light on this issue. It's greatly appreciated. |
