Continuing with the previous post...
I'm currently developing with HTML, DHTML and PHP. I dont like to stop learning new techs so I asked myself what to learn next. I'm always listening about XML, I've seen a couple of tutorials but still dont get the point. So I've choosen XHTML because it seems simplier and currently better supported by browsers. But my question is: Why use XHTML and for what? I mean, can I use it for my personal page? what benefits do I earn? XHTML its only intended for e-commerce sites? If anyone can help me I would thank it a lot. I want real XHTML applications in real life when it really improves site performance and so. TIA |

XHTML
XHTML won't improve jack if all you are worried about is presenting a page. Its just the next generation of html that forces XML compliance (well-formed and valid).
XML's strength comes from eXtensible. Its true power is in the ability to store data in a meaningful way for both machines and humans. |

Use both... Present your data as XML, then use Xorro to transform your XHTML into XSLT.
