Question xml error, the device is not ready...

Hi, what does:

Error Type:
msxml3.dll (0x80070015)
The device is not ready.

this mean? I have downloaded a website from the net in total and I have installed it onto my webserver (iis5.0). The site works fine, including all the asp, but I seem the have trouble displaying xml...

any idea's what the error is telling me? I have searched the web for hours to no avail.

Thanks all!

So you have the msxml3.dll in your System32 folder and it is registered properly?

Hi there, I have msxml.dll, msxml3.dll, msxml3a.dll, msxml3r.dll, msxmlr.dll in the sys32 folder and msxml3 is found in the registry as:

NAME Default
TYPE REG_EXPAND_SZ
DATA %SystemRoot%\System32\msxml3.dll

actually the registry has a whole bunch of entries as above and similar.

So I figure that it is regestered correctly... I was thinking that as the xml and xsl files are on my local iis 5.0 and being prossed with asp, it may be the webserver playing up? The only difference I am aware of between my local server config and the remote (working) server config is that my local installation is in a virtual directory opposed to being in the web root on the remote server... not sure why this would cause problems though...

Thanks...
