XML / Java / classes

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help give me a hand. Basically, what I want to do is download a Java 2 compliant XML parser (and later, an XSL transformer, etc) that I can manipulate through a single class or a bunch of different class files.

I'm not too knowledgable as far as Java is concerned, but I have enough to get by. I've spent a lot of time reading the stuff at xml.apache.org but I don't want to download the entire package. I'm looking to do this on a Windows box for the moment, so if there's any utilities there that might be helpful that'd be great too.
