Simple (for you xml experts) problem!

    Hi all,

    I really hope you can help with this one, I'm at the final furlong but have fallen quite badly!

    I've an xml template I've been using, but had problems editing the pages so just created HTML pages instead. I want to leave the homepage as the fancy XML/flash page but the links to go to HTML pages. Is this possible?

    <myMenu>
    <menu>

    <movie>Banner_Rotator_module.swf</movie>
    <loadXML>home/Banner_Rotator_module.xml</loadXML>
    </menu>

    <menu>

    <movie>Long_Text_module.swf</movie>
    <loadXML>about us/Long_Text_module.xml</loadXML>
    </menu>

    <menu>

    <movie>News_module.swf</movie>
    <loadXML>news/News_module.xml</loadXML>
    </menu>

    I've tried various things, but to no avail. Please help!

    This is not a well formed document, and your request for help is not well formed either.

    Hey buddy, welcome to the forums.

    I'm happy to help if you can muster up a meaningful question that doesn't leave what you want to accomplish to the imagination.

    What problems did you have?

    What homepage?

    I don't see any fancy XML/Flash. What does that refer to?

    I see no links. Links to what? Since there are no links, I cannot tell what is possible or not.

    What various things did you try and why/how did they not work?

    I witheld links to the site as it's adult-oriented, although as you asked - edit: so it seems posting links are forbidden, well, here's an image of the page/site in question - It would seem I can't even post an image!!!

    I couldn't manage to edit any of the pages to get them how I wanted, so I made HTML versions of them. I want the links at the top of the home page (about us etc) to go to HTML pages, but can't decipher how to do this.

    The code I posted initially is to do with the menu, hence me thinking that'd be where I need to insert an external link code, but nothing I've tried has worked.

    A few things I've tried are:

Contact

    <asset>(URL address blocked)</asset>

(URL address blocked)

    I realise this may be a complete load of rubbish that was never going to work, but I'm far from a web designer. Please excuse my uselessness.

    Were you wanting to transform this XML document into an html page via something akin to XSLT?

    I want the home page to be flash/xml, but the rest of the pages to be HTML. I'd have the home page as HTML, too, but it has a slideshow I'd like to keep.
