    Subtitles


    i need display subtitles in a html area.

    how to?

    example:

    00:01:04:00 - appear in the area the text "first text"

    00:01:04:08 - apper in the area the text "second text".



    is possible in xml? java script? action script?
    read the lines of a .srt file?

    What "html area"? What "area" do those numbers appear? What .srt file?

    sorry.

    I am developing an application for digital TV.
    our set - top box does not recognize the srt format. but recognizes html. it can display an HTML region along with the video.
    its necessary that the portions of the subtitle appear in this region html.

    ie l in this htm region (table, form, page), it is necessary that the snippets of text to appear in certain times. a subtitle in the region html.

    Well, I don't know exactly what you can do with the box...

    Is it really a video + an HTML fragment? Or more like an HTML page with an embedded video?
    Either way you might need JavaScript. Does the box do that? If you don't know, what box is it?
