    [XML] .NET and SQL version and name?

    In my file I have these lines:
    Code:
    <Requirements>
        <Database version="2008" type="SQLServer"/>
        <Script version="4" type="DOTNET"/>
    </Requirements>
    Server is running Windows.
    But I dont know if I have used the right words.

    When it's Linux the version is "8" and type is "mySQL".

    Shouldnt windows be like version "8" and type "MSSQL"?

    Im confused. But I've also never looked at XML before.

    We have no idea what this XML is for or how it's used. Or whether it's used at all by anything more than just a person looking at the XML to see what these "requirements" are.

    I just read a little about XML. I now realise how dumb this question was. I totaly misunderstood the purpose of XML.

    It's for a click&install application on a website control panel. DotNetNuke application to be precise.
    It is taking your input from the control panel and applies to a config file that is used to create a database.

    This is nothing I have created. I just need to modify it.
    I guess it's something I will have to figure out myself.

    Thanks anyway, very quick response. I will definately spend some time here!
    Even though I'm more of a Java guy
